The syrup will be flowing at the annual Spring Tonic Maple Syrup Festival at the Tiffin Centre.
This year’s festival, presented once again by the Rotary Club of Barrie and the Nottawasaga Valley Conservation Authority, will take place April 5 and 6.
The event features a pancake breakfast, maple syrup tours, live music, horse-drawn wagon rides, arts and crafts, guided hikes and bird box building.
The festival will also feature an Enviro Fair with agencies working to protect the environment.
New this year is a Low Ropes Challenge Course, a seatbelt rollover demonstration and an archery exhibit.
Fifty per cent of the proceeds will go to the Nottawasaga Valley Conservation Authority’s various environmental projects.
The other half will go to Rotary projects such as the Huronia Lookout and the Simcoe Muskoka Regional Cancer Centre.
Admission, which includes breakfast, is $10 for adults and $5 for youth 12 and under.
The Tiffin Centre for Conservation is located on the 8th Line of Essa Township, 10 minutes west of Barrie.
