On behalf of the Rotary Club of Barrie-Huronia, I’d like to thank everyone involved in making the second annual Our House Gala a success!

Together, we raised $38,000 to help make our dream of Rotary House a reality.

On Feb. 16, community members, friends, Rotarians, partners and sponsors gathered in Casino Rama’s Silver Nightingale Ballroom. Guests enjoyed an elegant champagne punch cocktail reception, a delicious four-course gourmet meal, and silent and live auctions featuring luxury items and services donated by our local business community.

The evening’s highlight was a raffle, featuring a one-of-a-kind diamond pendant, designed and donated by Metzger’s Fine Jewellery. The winner was drawn by Miss Teen Canada, Cassondra Paletta.

This important event would not have been possible without the generous support of our main co-sponsors Focused on Performance and The Hair Prosthesis Centre.  We would also like to thank our corporate sponsors and the many local businesses and retailers who so graciously supported the gala and its auctions – including our media partners. All of you help to make us stronger!

Rotary clubs around the world work to meet a variety of ongoing needs. We are proud to say that here at home, strong, local community spirit continues to support the ambitious efforts of the Rotary Club of Barrie-Huronia.

Proceeds from the gala will support the establishment of the Royal Victoria Hospital Simcoe-Muskoka Regional Cancer Centre Rotary House, which will offer a safe, convenient and affordable place to stay for patients receiving treatment.
