Everyone is invited to the upcoming Heritage Textile Sampler Day.

The Simcoe County Arts and Crafts Association is holding the event March 1 at the Simcoe County Museum. Spinning, weaving, quilting, rug hooking, stitchery and knitting will all be on display.

Courses in each craft will be held in April. People attending have a chance to win a one-year membership to the arts and crafts association. Those registering for a course during the sampler day also have a chance to take that course free of charge.

The event is at the Simcoe County Museum on Highway 26, five minutes north of Barrie. There is no admission fee.

For more information call Melanie Dielmann at 705-721-2799.
