Erin Kruger didn't let a few butterflies in her stomach stop her from taking to the fair's Giant Slide a few extra times.

Grey skies didn’t deter the hundreds who came out Wednesday to celebrate opening day at the 154th annual Barrie Fair and Horse Show.
The fair runs through until Sunday and features a little something for everyone including the Dock Dogs, Clarol the Clown, the Stylamanders, the Backyardigans and, of course, the midway.
There are also the traditional fair staples, including livestock, horse shows, great food and exhibits such as crafts, baking and photography.
There will also be a truck and tractor pull Thursday, an outdoor concert with The Wilkinsons Friday, motorcycle races on Saturday and a demolition derby on Sunday.
For more information on the fair visit www.barriefair.ca.
