Downtown parade
The Battle of the Atlantic Parade and service is set for Sunday, May 3, starting at 1:40 p.m. It heads west on Dunlop Street to the Cenotaph at Fred Grant Square, with a service at 2 p.m. No parking is available in the area during the event.

Arts and Crafts Association meeting
The Simcoe County Arts and Crafts Association will host two workshops on May 4 starting at 1 p.m. at the Simcoe County Museum. Workshops will be on Yo-Yo fabric flowers and Teddy-bear thimble holders. Please bring a sewing needle, embroidery needle, fabric scissors and a thimble. Legion turns 80
The Royal Canadian Legion, Barrie Branch #147 would like to invite everyone to help celebrate the legion’s 80th anniversary on May 5, starting at 7 p.m. The celebration will be held in conjunction with the legion’s annual honours and awards event.
