Don’t hide from police
Two men tried to hide out in a local apartment while a Barrie Police officer had a look around. Early Thursday morning, police went to Davidson Street to look for a wanted man.
They saw two people through a basement window, but when they knocked on the door, the lights went out. The officer heard people running through the apartment, but a female answered the door and said she was along.
Eventually, she told the officer the men had run through a joining door to an upper apartment. One man was found in the middle of the room, hiding in a pile of laundry. A second man, also wanted by police was found in a closet. Both were arrested and waited for a bail hearing.
