A man is facing a charge of uttering threats after the mother of his children heard a voicemail message on her phone.
Police said the message threatened her life and they tracked down a man and arrested him for the call.

Downtown problems
A man in front of a downtown bar got to know a Barrie police officer after they said hello Thursday night. Police believe the man was drunk, and he was under a judge’s orders not to drink alcohol. He was arrested and held for a bail hearing.
Wanted man
Barrie police were able to pass along a wanted man to South Simcoe police Wednesday. Officers were called to Cedar Pointe Drive after a fight between a couple.
The man was wanted by South Simcoe police, and they wanted to talk to him, so he was taken to their station.
Drug charge
Barrie police stopped a vehicle near a strip club in the south end of Barrie Wednesday. The driver was charged after officers searched his vehicle and found a quantity of cocaine.
He was charged with possession of cocaine and possession for the purpose of trafficking.
Water rescue
A boat almost crashed on the shores of Lake Simcoe Wednesday. The engine failed and the boat lost power near Eastbourne Public Beach in Georgina.
The boat was anchored but was being pushed towards a rocky shoal. South Simcoe police marine unit towed the boat back to a Lefroy marina. The boat had minor damage but everyone on board was safe.
