Happy paddling:
The Barrie Canoe and Kayak Club meets for Paddle Nights every Monday and Wednesday night from 6:30 p.m. until dusk. Please join them at the Southshore Centre, located at 205 Lakeshore Dr., on the south side of Kempenfelt Bay, to try out a canoe or kayak, hone your existing skills, or pick up new ones.
This summer free clinics will be offered on paddle nights, so please see the website for updates. Monday and Wednesday night paddles run until Aug. 27 (except for the Civic Day Weekend).
Foresters Museum:
The public is invited to visit the Grey & Foresters Regimental Museum at 36 Mulcaster St. It’s open Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays, 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. until the end of November. Admission is free. For more information, call 728-5893.
Wing events:
RCAF 441 Wing is a volunteer organization serving the Barrie and District Community through donations raised by various fund raising events, held at the RCAF 441 Wing headquarters, Highway 90.
June 27's Friday night supper is served at 5:30 p.m., for $6 per person, tickets available at the bar. Come and enjoy cards and friendship in the afternoon, with a meal to follow. For further information call the Wing at 705-726-5110, Tues. to Friday after 4:30 p.m.
Also June 27, the Wing Turkey Shoot starts at 10:30 a.m., light breakfast served. Come out and try your luck at winning great prizes!
Nar-Anon meetings:
Nar-Anon is for those who know or have known a feeling of desperation concerning the addiction problem of someone very near to them. Members have traveled that road, too. Join them at Grove United Church, 350 Grove St. East on Tuesday evenings at 7 p.m.

Praise and Worship:
The Church of God Worship Centre, 25 Morrow Road, presents a Praise and Worship Weekend, Saturday and Sunday, June 21 and 22, from 2-10 p.m. both days. An evangelical service will be held Sunday at 6 p.m.
Bring your lawn chair to the Lion’s Pavilion at the Barrie waterfront to hear some great gospel singing and personal testimonies.

Elmvale Concert:
Lou Lefaive and the Elmvale and District High School musicians (vocalists and instrumentalists) will perform in Heritage Park - Elmvale on Sunday, June 22 at 6 p.m. Burgers will be served at 5:15.
Garden Tour:
The Barrie Garden Club Annual Garden Tour is on Sunday, June 22, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
This year the club is featuring eight of the most beautiful gardens in Barrie as well as the Arboretum in Sunnidale Park.
Tickets are available for $25 at Simcoe District Co-Op, Bradford Greenhouses and Garden Gallery, Botanix, Garrett’s Farm Market and Greenhouses, and on the day of the tour between 9:30 a.m. - noon, at the Arboretum, Sunnidale Park. Also included in the price is a Strawberry Shortcake Social at Sunnidale available throughout the day.
Antiques Show and Sale:
Join Roadshow’s 400 Antiques Mall for its seventh Antiques show and sale, Sunday, June 22. All sorts of collectibles will be on display, including furniture, China, glass pottery, jewelry, art, books and collectibles. It all takes place by Highway 400 at Innisfil Beach Road.

Garden and Tea Party:
St. Paul's Anglican Church in Midhurst announces its Very First Victorian Garden Party and Tea, Sunday, June 22, from 2 to 4 p.m.
Tour the beautiful gardens of Jim and Sharon Fitzsimmins at 2383 Russell Rd., Midhurst and then enjoy tea and scrumptious desserts. Cost for the event is $8 and tickets are available from Bob at 721-5362 or the church office on Noraline Avenue, Midhurst Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday mornings.
African Choir concert:
African Children's Choir will touch your spirit with their charming smiles, beautiful voices and lively African songs and dances. The concert will also feature a mixture of well-loved children’s songs, traditional spirituals and contemporary tunes.
The concert will be held Sunday, June 22, at 10:30 a.m., at Inniswood Baptist Church

A free-will offering will be taken to support the African Children's Choir’s ministries, providing education, care and emergency relief for over 7,000 children in Uganda, Rwanda, Nigeria, Ghana, Sudan, Kenya and South Africa.
Concert band:
The Barrie Concert Band performs in the rotunda at Barrie City Hall, Tuesday, June 24, at 7:15 p.m. Free admission, all are welcome.
