A 44-year-old Alliston man charged with attempted murder will remain in custody after a bail hearing Friday was put over for a second time.

The details of the trial are under a publication ban.

Kamal Khanna was charged with attempted murder, aggravated assault, and assault with a weapon in connection with the stabbing of his 14-year-old daughter at their west-end Alliston home March 4.

The teen, Ashna Khanna, underwent several surgeries in a Toronto hospital before eventually being released.

She recently made an appearance at a figure skating benefit with proceeds going to assist her family.

Kamal Khanna will appear for another bail hearing May 14.
