In my previous occupation with the Barrie Police Service, I had many occasions to be interviewed by your reporter Julie DeBruin.
Her professionalism was evident from the moment she stepped into my office. Her articles were fair and invariably well-written. She had my complete trust.
I do wish her well in her retirement, but we, the readers, will miss her. Both she and her husband Hugh Brown set the standard for fair and unbiased reporting. It is no wonder that they have won several journalism awards.
