Two motorists found themselves afoot after police impounded their speedy vehicles.

Early Friday morning a Barrie OPP officer clocked a vehicle travelling 134 km/h in a 80 km/h zone.

The vehicle was motoring through a construction zone on Highway 400, south of Forbes Rd., when it was clocked by the officer.

A short time later, still early in the morning, another officer stopped a vehicle driving through gasoline alley on Highway 11, going 145 km/h in a 90 km/h zone.

Both drivers had their licences suspended and vehicle impounded for seven days under section 172 of the Highway Traffic Act.

They have a Nov. 7 court date in Barrie .
