The Simcoe County District School Board will have to wait until October to take the next step in bringing a high school to Essa Township.

The SCDSB has submitted a business case and applied to the Ministry of Education for a secondary school in Essa Township and for an expansion to Bear Creek Secondary School to start in the 2010/2011 school year.

The Ministry of Education will not be approving projects for the 2010/2011 school year until Oct. 30.
